I grew up in Busia County, Ang’orom Village, Teso South Sub County. I went to Kibabii primary School in Bungoma County then to Kisoko Girls Secondary School for my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) later joined young Women Christian Association (YWCA) For a Certificate In Secretarial studies and Computer. After College education I started a small business as a hawker selling mobile phones accessories and battery. I got enough capital to start my own shop for mobile phones and accessories. In future I want to expand my business and start importing and exporting phones and accessories as a wholesaler and am confident my dreams are valid. My business involves sale of mobile phones and accessories, I started my business in the year 2010 December as a hawker and thereafter started my own shop in 2012. I used my short term to expand my business and bought more accessories that led to more sales revenue hence profits.
Just like any other business my biggest challenge still remains; lack of adequate capital to fully expand my business and tap the market potential of Busia town, which will make business thrive translating to higher profits. I also experience stiff competition from other industry players especially those who import fake electronics from China and thereafter sale them at a cheaper price compared to my products. But despite all the challenges am still doing good and I expect to grow even bigger by the end of the year.
